Tyfone Challenges

Basic patching blocked: Tyfone’s legacy app architecture made standard patching impossible on Rackspace, directly threatening SOC 2, PCI, and Visa compliance.

Infrastructure couldn’t scale fast enough: New environments required manual, machine-by-machine setup taking at least a week per environment.

Modernization was stalling: By remaining on Rackspace, Tyfone ran the risk of falling further behind on CI/CD, cloud-native tooling, and architecture.

Rather than spending months constructing an AWS security posture from scratch, Tyfone built on DuploCloud’s pre-configured frameworks and moved straight into migration work. DuploCloud designed the cloud architecture, managed CI/CD pipeline migrations, and worked as an extension of Tyfone’s internal team throughout.

Well experienced with complex, multiphase cloud migrations, DuploCloud helped Tyfone navigate the transition from a legacy Rackspace environment to AWS across 42 customer environments without disrupting uptime or compliance along the way.

Impact for Tyfone

The migration completed without unexpected downtime and with SOC 2, PCI, and Visa payment network partner compliance maintained throughout.

New customer environments that once took a week of manual work could provision in two to three days. Developers who previously routed every infrastructure request through the DevOps team were handling standard tasks independently through the DuploCloud portal.

Security audits went from all-hands scrambles to streamlined and smooth operations where evidence could be pulled directly from the DuploCloud portal, patching managed on a regular cadence, and network security reviews handled without disrupting the team.

As for up-skilling, every member of Tyfone’s previously Rackspace-only team can now work confidently across their new AWS environment thanks to what they learned throughout the hands-on collaboration with DuploCloud engineers.
